About Us

Nevut, which means "navigation" in Hebrew, is a non-profit organization established in 2017. We are focused on facilitating the successful transition of IDF Lone Soldiers Veterans into civilian life by providing essential resources, programming, and support. Nevut has recently expanded its mission to assist young men and women through the IDF drafting process and support them during their service. Our soldiers face various challenges throughout their time in the IDF and upon their reintegration into civilian life after completing their service. Nevut is dedicated to supporting them and empowering their success throughout the entire process

They left their homes, their families, everything that was familiar to them and put their lives on the line to protect Israel, to protect us.

Now it’s our turn.

Nevut ensures that our returning IDF Lone Soldiers receive the critical support and resources they need to navigate a successful return to civilian life.

Every year, hundreds of lone soldiers return to the US after their volunteer IDF service to find no support for reintegrating into civilian life. These heroes need therapeutic services, career opportunities, and a community of veterans to process their war experiences with. We are the only organization supporting IDF veterans in the U.S. We’re on a mission to be there for every returning soldier. On their return, we do an intake to learn about their background, army service, and unique needs. We then connect them to therapists that specialize working with veterans, subsidize their treatment, pair them with a 'Tzemed' buddy to check-in with, offer career support, and welcome them into a community of IDF veterans who understand and embrace them.
