Miryam Sperka, PhD
Dr. Miryam Sperka is the Training Director of the Center for Psychedelic Therapy Research at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she runs the MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD Education Program, which focuses on clinician training and curriculum development to address the specific needs of military and veteran populations. Dr. Sperka is a clinical psychologist in the Trauma and Readjustment Service at the James J. Peters Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in NYC, where she provides trauma-focused therapy for PTSD and moral injury, and trains psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows within the PTSD clinic.
Dan Friedrich, Certified Peer Support Specialist
Dan Friedrich is a US Marine combat veteran who has supervised and trained peer support specialists providing frontline support throughout Oregon State’s healthcare system. Dan has facilitated PTSD and Moral Injury recovery and reintegration programming at Portland VA Medical Center since 2019.
