“We send our boys off to Israel – and they return home as men. That alone is an adjustment. Adding to that, these young men have experiences in the IDF that we cannot understand.

Israel returned before Nevut was formed. We could see that he was working through the transition and we tried to figure out how to help. Once Nevut formed we saw how valuable it was for him to have a community where they understood each other. We are reassured that he has the support he needs and are proud to see how they support each other. At the same time – we know that as parents we can turn to Nevut for assistance.

Israel’s Shabbat Chatan was celebrated at a Nevut Shabbaton. We were able to see firsthand that Nevut is not an “organization” but a family.”
